is a mic.
One screen everyone can see. A phone each. About a minute.
Nobody buys a microphone. The screen puts up a code, everyone points a camera at it, and a minute later the whole couch is holding a mic.
Scan, and the phone is the mic.
Up to four phones join straight from their own browser, and the song doesn't sit there waiting while somebody signs up for something.
Your voice never leaves the room.
Each phone works out its own pitch on-device and sends only the pitch readings to the big screen. The actual sound of you is never uploaded, never recorded, never streamed anywhere.
Distance doesn't get to cheat.
The lag from across the room is measured and paid back inside the scoring, so the phone on the far couch is graded exactly as fairly as the laptop running the show.

Real scoring
The room is
keeping score.
It hears every note you sing: land it, hold it, cash the golds. Grades run from a D up to a clean S, three stars if you earn them.
- It runs in the tab. Pitch detection happens right there in your browser. No plugin, no driver, no calibration ritual before anyone gets to sing.
- Range never decides the winner. Sing it high or sing it low. The pitch is folded to your range, so a bass and a soprano get scored on the same note. Pick Easy, Normal, or Hard to set how tight the window is.
The pitch orb rides the ribbon through a demo line, lands on the long note, and the note cracks gold. The grade chip flips from A to S and that hold is worth 8,240 points.

Is it actually free?
Yes. Open a link and sing. There's no card and no account to start. Make a free account when you want your scores saved, a streak going, and a spot in the weekly league. The only thing money buys is cosmetics, and cosmetics do not sing better than you.
Do I have to download anything?
No. It all runs in the browser. Nothing from an app store for you, and nothing for your guests either: a phone joins as a mic straight from its own browser. You can pin it to your home screen if you want it to feel like an app, but that's your call.
What do I need to run it?
A recent Chrome, Edge, Safari, or Firefox on a laptop, phone, or tablet, and a "yes" when the browser asks for your microphone. That's the whole checklist. A bigger screen everyone can see makes it a party; a laptop makes it a Tuesday.
How does Encore Show work?
You start a room and share the link. Up to four people sing the same song at the same time, and everyone else watches as spectators. The start is synced from the server, so nobody's laggy Wi-Fi decides the round. Each singer's pitch shows up as a ghost trail on the others' ribbons.
How does party mode work?
The host screen shows a QR code. A phone scans it and becomes a mic for the room: take your turn, then pass it on. Up to four phones at once. The phone sends only pitch data, never your audio, and the lag across the room is measured and compensated, so nobody's cheated by distance.
Does my voice get uploaded?
No. Pitch is worked out on your own device. In party mode the phone streams tiny pitch readings to the host screen and nothing else. The actual sound of your voice never leaves the room, and we never record it.
Is it any good if I sing alone?
Yes, and a lot of people do. Solo runs count for XP, streaks, quests and the weekly league, and you can race a friend's recorded ghost trail whenever they're not around. The multiplayer is the loud part; the solo run is the practice that wins it.
How big is the catalog?
Huge. Thousands of new songs land daily, with English and Latin party staples front and center. If it's stuck in your head, it's probably on the board.
Does it work in Spanish?
Sí. The whole game runs in English or Spanish, and the catalog is built for both: salsa, reggaetón, bachata, corridos and rock en español sit right next to the pop, the 2000s throwbacks and the country.

Between the parties
The room doesn't empty out
when the song ends.
Add the people you sang with. See who's around. Send them a track at 1am with a number attached. That's the difference between a karaoke app you open twice and a place you actually hang out.
