Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 7, 2026
This policy explains what Neural Match, LLC collects when you use WeCanSing, why, and the choices you have. The short version: your singing is scored on your own device, the sound of your voice is never uploaded, and we collect the minimum we need to run a game with accounts, scores and payments.
1. Your voice and your microphone
This is the part most people ask about, so it comes first. WeCanSing listens to your microphone only while you sing, and pitch detection runs entirely on your device. The audio of your voice is never recorded, never stored, and never uploaded, not to us, and not to anyone else.
In party and remote-mic modes, your phone sends only numeric pitch readings (which note you are singing, and how loudly, a stream of numbers, not sound) to the screen running the game. In online rooms, those same numeric readings are relayed to the other players in your room so their screens can show your performance. Nobody can reconstruct your voice from them.
2. Accounts
Guest accounts. When you first play we create a guest account (a random handle and avatar) so your session works without a sign-up form. Guest accounts that never record a score are deleted automatically after about 7 days. You can convert a guest account into a full account at any time, or walk away and let it expire.
Full accounts. To keep your progress you can register with an email address and password, with Google (we receive your name, email address and profile picture, nothing else), or with your phone number.
Phone sign-in (SMS). If you sign in by phone, we use your number solely to send sign-in codes. Message frequency varies with how often you sign in; message and data rates may apply. We do not use your number for marketing and we do not share it for marketing.
3. What we collect while you play
Gameplay data: your scores, accuracy, stars, streaks, quests, league standing, purchases of virtual items, rooms you join, and the messages you send in chat. Technical data: coarse device and browser information (like screen size, browser type and language) and IP-derived approximate region, used for security, rate-limiting and making the game work on your device.
4. Analytics
In the game. We send product events, things like "a song was started" or "a score screen was shown", together with coarse device info, to our analytics provider, Amplitude, to understand what works and fix what does not. Analytics events never include the sound of your voice (see section 1) or the content of your chat messages.
On the marketing site. The pages at wecansing.live, including this one, use Google Analytics 4 (property G-0YNW9SST5D) to measure how people find and read them: pages viewed, how long a visit lasts, which site or link sent you, broad device and browser type, and approximate region. The purpose is usage measurement and nothing else. Google Analytics sets its own cookies in your browser, described in section 7.
IP anonymization. We send the anonymize_ip signal with every measurement, and Google truncates your IP address before it is stored or used to estimate a location. We never see your full IP address in analytics.
Advertising is switched off by default. We run Google Consent Mode v2, and the defaults this site sets before any measurement is taken are: analytics storage granted, ad storage denied, ad user data denied, ad personalization denied. In plain terms, we measure, we do not advertise: nothing counted here is used to build advertising audiences, to personalize ads, or to follow you to another site. We do not load Google Analytics inside TikTok’s in-app browser at all.
Google’s role and your way out. Google processes this data on our behalf and applies its own terms; its handling is described in the Google Privacy Policy. You can opt out of Google Analytics on every website at once by installing Google’s opt-out browser add-on, or by blocking or deleting analytics cookies in your browser settings. Opting out costs you nothing here: no part of WeCanSing behaves differently.
5. Payments
Coin purchases are processed by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe; we never see or store full card numbers. We keep records of what you bought (amount, date, item) for accounting and support.
6. YouTube
Songs play through the YouTube embedded player. WeCanSing uses YouTube API Services: when a song plays, YouTube receives the request from your browser and applies its own terms and privacy policy. By using WeCanSing you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service; YouTube’s handling of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
7. Cookies
In the game. We use essential cookies only: a session cookie that keeps you signed in, and functional storage for things like your language and sound settings.
On the marketing site. The pages at wecansing.live also set two Google Analytics cookies: one named _ga, and one whose name begins with _ga_ and ends with our property id. They hold a randomly generated identifier for your browser, no name, no email address, and they last up to two years. Their only purpose is usage measurement: telling a return visit from a first one so the counts mean something. They are measurement cookies, not advertising cookies. Section 4 sets out the consent defaults we ship, the IP anonymization, and how to opt out.
We do not use advertising cookies, we do not run third-party ad trackers, and nothing on this site is used to target advertising to you anywhere.
8. Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the processors named in this policy (Amplitude, Google Analytics, Stripe, our hosting providers) to run the Service, and with authorities where the law requires it. Content you deliberately share, your handle, avatar, scores on leaderboards, chat messages in rooms, is visible to other players by design.
9. Retention and deletion
Zero-score guest accounts are deleted automatically after about 7 days. Full accounts are kept while active. You may request a copy of your data or deletion of your account at any time by writing to info@apptiva.co from the address linked to your account; we complete deletion requests within 30 days, except records we must keep for legal reasons (such as payment records).
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example the EEA, UK, or California), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Write to info@apptiva.co and we will honor the rights that apply to you. We do not discriminate against you for exercising them.
11. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 where a higher minimum applies), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Where your data lives
We are a US company and process data on servers in the United States. If you use the Service from elsewhere, your data is transferred to and processed in the US, where privacy laws may differ from those of your country.
13. Changes
When this policy changes materially, we will give notice in the app before the change takes effect and update the date at the top of this page.
Questions about any of this? Write to info@apptiva.co. We read everything.
